Week 17: Birthday and Belfast
May 10th- Dingle Pennisula Dunmore Head This year I spent my birthday in Ireland, making 21 the most memorable milestone yet. Additionally, May 10th was the day travel restrictions were finally lifted, making inter-county travel officially legal for the first time all semester. Emily cooked crepes (her newfound specialty) and the roommates all joined for a late birthday breakfast before celebrating both events with a road trip to Dingle Peninsula. Birthday breakfast by Emily At our first stop, Inch Beach, it started to rain sideways minutes after leaving the car- we finally made it back with soaked jeans and damped spirits. Thankfully, the sun emerged and the wind soon dried us, making the rest of the trip much more enjoyable. Among the sights were "Hurley" castle, stone beehive houses, dramatic oceanside views, and Dunmore Head (where Star Wars, Return of the Jedi was filmed). It was a gorgeous day and fitting final road trip with Noemie and Hugo. Sadly, Maria had to stay
